Sea Cottage

Sea Cottage is a traditional detached stone built cottage situated directly on the sea shore of Broadford Bay about one mile from Broadford in the hamlet of Waterloo. It enjoys magnificent views of the bay, the Red Cuillins, and the Isles of Scalpay and Pabay. The cottage which has natural charm has been extensively and sympathetically refurbished, is well equipped and provides excellent quality accommodation with every comfort. We take part in the Scottish Tourist Board's inspection scheme and Sea Cottage has consistently been awarded with a four star grading.

Sea Cottage comprises an open plan living room, dining room, and kitchen on the ground floor, with picture windows giving stunning views out to sea. The kitchen has electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge and dishwasher. In the bathroom are a bath with shower, W.C. and wash hand basin and shaving point. Upstairs are two bedrooms with cottage style sloping ceilings, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. There is a bed settee in the downstairs living area. Heating is by coal fire and electric storage heaters and there is ample hot water for a cosy stay at any time of year. The facilities also include a colour T.V. and video, pay telephone, washing machine with tumble dryer and all the other necessities to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms are medium sized and provide comfortable accommodation for up to four people. There are good sized gardens laid mostly to lawn.

The front garden overlooks crofts and countryside and the back garden provides stunning panoramic views of Broadford Bay with direct access to the sea shore. The shore has interesting flat rock platforms which are scattered with fossils and rock pools. You can walk across the bay to Broadford at low tide (bring your wellies!) Children are welcome and the quiet surroundings and open spaces without busy roads makes Sea Cottage an ideal environment. Broadford is a small town with several good shops.
